Cave Capers 2026 will be the 73nd annual gathering. Cavers from all over the United States will come together in Indiana on August 20-23, 2026 at Camp Rivervale in Mitchell Indiana. There will be caving, music, food, gear vendors and lots of catching up with old friends.

Camping at Camp Rivervale
Located in historic Mitchel Indiana, Camp Rivervale has been serving the United Methodist Church and its community for 100 years. This historic camp and retreat center provides guests with the opportunity to reflect on the past while benefiting from today’s modern facilities.

Cave Capers is a family friendly event, please help us keep it that way.
Please be aware that pets are not permitted on the premises at any time for Cave Capers 2026. Also, open containers are not permitted in common areas at Camp Rivervale, please respect the rules of our gracious host site. No fireworks or air horns are allowed on site. Only non-motorized bicycles are permitted.
Tent camping is included in your registration fees, but if you wish to bring a Camper/RV (with or without hookups) or wish to rent an onsite cabin you will need to reach out to Pam Tedrow at Camp Rivervale to pay additional fees. Additionally, the shelters on property are not free for our use, but there are a few that are not reserved currently, if you wish to rent one, you can call Pam for those as well. She can be reached at 812-849-6824. All sites are first come, first served and are limited in quantity.
